Why hire moving helpers instead of a full-service mover

A full-service company bundles a truck, a sales team and a lot of overhead into one number. In West Palm Beach that number can run past a thousand dollars for a two-bedroom move.

When you hire a helper crew by the hour, you pay for the work itself. Rent the truck yourself at its real cost or have us bring ours — your call — and keep the difference. Same careful hands, same pads and straps, without the markup.

Furniture assembly, from the box to done

A service of its own: new desks, cabinets, shelving and other furniture, built from the box and set where you want it. It takes more time and tools than a move, so it’s priced separately.

On a move, your bed set is taken apart and put back together at no extra fee.

What moving in West Palm Beach actually takes

  • Downtown condos and towers

Buildings along Flagler Drive and around Clematis Street usually want an elevator reservation, set move-in hours and a certificate of insurance. We send the COI your building asks for; share its rules when you book and we plan the crew and the start time around them.

  • Historic neighborhoods

El Cid, Flamingo Park, Grandview Heights and Northwood are full of 1920s and ’30s homes: narrow staircases, tight doorways and street parking. We look at the path before we lift and pad every frame on the way out.

  • Gated communities west of I-95

Out toward Okeechobee Boulevard and the western neighborhoods, the hurdle is usually the gate and the HOA: guest passes, truck parking and allowed hours. Share the gate code and the HOA rules ahead of time and the crew walks in ready.

  • Summer storms and early starts

From June through September, afternoon storms show up almost daily. Starting at 7 or 8 a.m. is normal here, and upholstery stays wrapped, so a downpour between the front door and the truck doesn’t matter.

  • Busy weeks

The end of the month and the start of snowbird season fill up first. A week or two of notice is ideal; for last-minute moves, call anyway — we keep a few slots open.

FAQ: moving help in West Palm Beach

How much do moving helpers cost in West Palm Beach?
From $125 an hour. Your exact price depends on the size of the move and whether you want our truck — the instant quote gives it to you in seconds, before you book.
Can you work in a downtown condo building with elevator rules?
Yes. We send the certificate of insurance (COI) your building asks for and schedule the crew around its move-in hours and your elevator reservation. Furniture pads and wrap are included; if the building also requires floor and elevator protection, we quote it with your move.
Can you load the U-Haul I already rented?
Yes — that’s most of what we do. We meet you at the pickup address, load the truck tight and strapped by tier, and can meet you again at the other end to unload. If you’d rather not deal with the rental counter, we can reserve the truck for you.
Do you charge extra for stairs or travel?
No. There are no travel fees on labor, no stair charge and no fuel surcharge.
Do you take beds apart and put them back together?
Yes. On a move, your bed set is taken apart and put back together at no extra fee. Building new furniture from the box is a separate service: furniture assembly.
How soon can you come?
A week or two of notice is ideal, and the end of the month books up first. For last-minute moves, call (561) 723-1087 — if we have a slot, we’ll tell you straight away.
Do you move heavy items?
Yes — treadmills, marble tops and large appliances. Tell us what it is, roughly how much it weighs and whether there are stairs, so we send enough hands. We don’t move safes or pianos.
